COURSES in FOOT MASSAGE (Practitioners diploma awarded)

HOT STONE  REFLEXOLOGY
Hands-on-Workshops are able to introduce the Hot Stone Reflexology course. During this course, you will experience how the heat from the stones quickly opens the reflex pathways with little or no discomfort to the client. This hot stone reflexology technique is extremely relaxing for the client and also provides relaxation and healing with less work for the therapist. Learn the proper handling technique of the stones through a powerful protocol. This is a hands-on, post graduate training course. A qualification in Reflexology is required.
Hot Stone Reflexology is actually a treatment for the feet and lower legs, hands and lower arms. The treatment warms the muscles and allows practitioners to access deeper tissues more quickly than with conventional massage while saving their fingers from repetition and pressure oriented injuries. Hot Stone Reflexology  combines the benefits of the use of heat applications, with the strokes of massage using stones to create a deep, relaxing and healing treatment. The heat of the stones warms the skin, which allows for the absorption of moisturizing and therapeutic oils, while simultaneously preparing the musculature of the body so the therapist can work into the deeper muscle layers, thus creating the ultimate spa relaxation treatment with hot stone foot and hand massage. Hot Stone Foot Reflexology is yet another course developed by our senior tutor, and once again, unique to ourselves.
This course is accredited by IPTI as a Post Graduate Practitioners Course and carries 6CPD points
The cost for this course is £110.00 inclusive
DATES: BOSTON: Available weekly on a one to one basis

THAI FOOT MASSAGE
According to the principles of reflexology, different parts of the foot correspond in actions with different parts of the body. A toe massage can assuage sinus pain, while applying pressure on the arch soothes a tummy ache. Foot massage leans more toward using rubbing and manipulation versus applying direct pressure on specific points Traditional Thai Foot Massage with a wooden stick is an authentic massage technique that will leave the client feeling very relaxed & energized. We work on pressure points on the feet and lower legs by using thumbs and a traditional Thai wooden stick for an invigorating and relaxing massage for the lower legs. Also covered is a relaxation massage to the hands and lower arms.
Reasearch now shows that Thai foot massage is  now as popular as foot and hand reflexology, thus, the perfect therapy for a beginners, or for practising  therapists to learn.

This fully insurable  and accredited course allows the participant  to use this therapy with the general public and charge for it. This is the ideal foot therapy for those of you that may have thought about training as a reflexologist but were worried about developing RSI and damaging thumbs. You might like to consider this course as it is an alternative as it will offer both the client and therapist very similar results, whilst reducing  study and exam time
