Mayan Abdominal Massage : This is a specialised form of colon massage therapy based on authentic teachings that have been practised for thousands of years by the Mayan people in Central America. It has now grown in poularity and used extensively across the globe.
This form of massage has many benefits. It may help with the correction prolapsed or tilted wombs in women, effectively helping to relieve menstrual and menopausal discomfort. It is also well known for helping to for alleviate many common digestive disorders, constipation and pain associated with IBS and lower back pain. This massage is often refered to as Arvigo Massage.
The cost for this Masterclass is £72.50.
Trigger point / Deep tissue release : A balance of acquired knowledge, technical expertise, clinical skills and manual dexterity can provide you with a competitive advantage in this ever-changing field. You will acquire a solid base of knowledge through instruction and hands-on training in our well-rounded training course. Trigger point therapy is a bodywork technique that involves the applying of pressure to tender muscle tissue in order to relieve pain and dysfunction in other parts of the body.. Trigger point therapy is also called myofascial trigger point therapy. Deep Tissue massageis a massage technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fibres of the muscles, tendons and fascia. Deep tissue massage is used to release chronic muscle tension through slower strokes and more direct deep pressure or friction applied across the grain of the muscles not with the grain Deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy are extremely beneficial when performed together. To join this course, students must be qualified in anatomy, 
physiology and a body work discipline.
Top-up & advanced massage techniques : During almost every course or workshop we hold, participants express how they wish that they had trained with Hands-on-Workshops. This is an opportunity to gain experience, whilst enjoying a fun, informal and interesting day. The day will be ‘hands on’ and practical, and will include a question and answer session with an experienced, ITEC practitioner / sports therapist and qualified trainer/lecturer.This is an opportunity to refresh and update your professional massage skills, learn new techniques and share experiences. Idealy suited for those recently qualified, therapists that maybe lack confidence or for people returning to therapy work.

These one day workshops are for qualified therapists. Included in the cost: equipment used on the day, comprehensive handouts, refreshments and Post Graduate certificate of attendance.
